F/Lt. Kevin Sweeney Commander of the Lakeview Post is pleased to announce the assignment of three new troopers to the Post.
These new troopers are a welcome addition to the post and demonstrate MSP’s commitment to Gratiot, Ionia, and Montcalm counties, said F/Lt. Kevin Sweeney.
The three now face an intense 20 week field training officer program, where they will learn to apply their academy skills.
Trooper Symonds is a native of Saline Michigan and a graduate of Michigan State University where she majored in Criminal Justice and Security Management.
Trooper Julin is a second generation member and a native of Houghton Lake. Prior to her acceptance to the academy, she was pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion at Michigan State University.
Trooper Osborne graduated from St. John’s High School and attended Michigan State University where he earned a BA in Criminal Justice. In addition to his new MSP duties, he is the commander of the 745th EOD Company, Michigan National Guard.
